Not the best if you want to eat healthy but still an absolutely delicious dish!
50 g vegan margarine
120 ml soy milk
2 tablespoons sunflower oil
250 g plain flour
120 g caster sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1.Gently melt the butter over a low-medium heat. Add milk and 2 tablespoons of sunflower oil and mix together.
2.Once combined, take off the heat and set aside.
3.In a separate bowl, combine the flour, half of the sugar, baking powder and salt with a fork.
4.Make a well in the center and pour in the butter mixture. Combine gradually until a thick dough forms.
Using your hands, roll dough into little flat balls and with your thumb, press a hole in the center of each doughnut.
5. Put the donuts into the deep fat fryer 3 at a time until golden brown.
6.Transfer the doughnuts onto some tissue paper to soak up any excess oil.
7. Enjoy while hot! (It's best to eat on the same day or it will turn more cake like).
